Paradox (2017).

A young woman goes missing, snatched from the street. Her father, with a very particular set of skills, in hot pursuit.

Don’t worry. This isn’t a Hollywood blockbuster. It’s Hong Kong Cinema, with a surprisingly steady pace and continual build towards the end, and at what I could consider to be a superb outing of the genre.

Basically, this is Taken, except in Thailand, and without Liam Neeson. Oh, and it is, of course, very, very sad.

Tony Jaa is in it and with a surprisingly deep character, but for surprisingly little time.
