What We Do in the Shadows (season 1).
Rated 16 for some lewd and rude behaviour and swearwords (and possibly the feasting upon human blood and the occasional corpse), What We Do in the Shadows is a lovely dark chewy kind of humour.
What if a documentary crew went to follow around three vampires, one energy vampire and two familiars in a Staten Island home?
This. This is what would happen.
I’m not usually fond of comedy. Can’t stand sit-coms. But this made me laugh.
From the LARP recruitment pool of virgins, to the rooftop duel with the werewolf, all the way through the turgid and eventually quite mad story of Jeff. Oh, and the hat. That hat. That was outstanding. It was possibly even better than Blade Skyping in to the Vampire Council. I don’t know though. That was also a good episode.
11 episodes and I’m only just wondering how I missed there was a movie on the same lines in 2014! Shocking. I need to get me some of that. But roll on season 2.
