Lockout (2012).

Guy Pearce is quite snazzy in this movie. I do like his character. It’s possibly the only thing that I actually do like.

Maggie Grace plays a slightly helpless female lead as the president’s daughter who needs rescuing. Why is it never the president’s son?

This movie is a lot like Escape from New York except in space, although I need to rewatch Escape from New York to be certain and I’m not convinced that movie may have aged very well.

This movie is not very good. It’s quite short, full of tropes and the CGI is not amazing. There are some genuinely funny moments although I’m not entirely certain that they were meant to be be so I don’t know if that’s a compliment or not.

As a last note, we watched this with an 11 year old who was very angry about the portrayal of dementia in this movie. If an 11 year old can see a problem… well, I’ll leave that there.
