First off, I think I want to say that by doing these links back to IMDb, I’ve been really entertained by the factual snobbery of the tiny notes. This little offering (I was going to type ‘gem’ but then wasn’t sure I’d be able to justify that description), for example, is marked as ‘TV movie 1996’. So it’s like a real movie, but not as good maybe? But still possibly better than the damning inditement when IMDb feels the need to tell me ‘video’? I mean, crikey!
So. This movie. The one I’m writing some notes about to record that I’ve actually watched it. Yeah. This one. Uhm. Yeah.
There’s a plane, and a convict, and a commercial flight. There’s a drunk guy and an old woman and a kid whose parents don’t seem to like each other much and a female captain (golly!) and a revolving door between the flight deck and the rest of the plane. The convict has buddies on the flight and he escapes and is mean. He also – for no reason that I can fathom – phones up an FBI agent to tell him what is going on. I thought this was remarkably kind of him, to be honest, it really levelled the playing field.
There is drama. Our dear friends at Rifftrax helped us to get through this one, there is no doubt about it.
