Gamera the Invincible. It is misspelled as ‘Gammera’ and in fact to find ‘Gamera the Invincible’ you must search IMDb for ‘Gammera’. Everyone of course knows that Gamera has just one m, is a giant fire-breathing turtle that can fly, and is a friend to all children. And is made of meat.

Sorry? What’s that? I’ve seen too many Gamera movies, all overdubbed with tongue in cheek commentary? Yes. Yes I have.

Anyway, it’s the sixties. The nineteen-sixties, when the world was ruled by old white men in glasses shouting at each other, and everything was monochrome. Then an unfortunate nuclear explosion awakes Gamera from his slumber under the ice. How will humanity react? Who will save the day?

You’ll have to watch this movie to find out.
