We have a thing for historical Korean drama. We think it’s the hats, to be honest. Oh, and the rest of the pageantry. I mean, oh my word, it’s just absolutely swimming in lush detail. Just like Kingdom (both series, which I’ve literally just realised that I didn’t include on this blog for No Reason Whatsoever).

This beauty was no different.

There was a point, a decent way through, where we looked at each other and wondered out loud if this was going to be a monster movie without a monster in it. This was just after watching Knives Out, for context, which is a murder mystery without a mystery that the watcher can solve.

We were all set for disappointment but right at the last moment…

…well I can’t say anything else now can I? It’d be a proper big spoiler. Just go watch it, ok? It’s gorgeous.
