Quentin Beck: Don’t ever apologize for being the smartest one in the room.
So, whatever it was that Spider-Man: Homecoming lacked, this movie had it in buckets.
This was a rare treat. The pace rattled along, location hopping without so much as a by-your-leave, but with the right kind of transition to keep the pace going between sections. Nick Fury rocked up (gotta love me some sulky Nick Fury and his trusty sidekick Maria Hill) and then, and then…
…then there was Mysterio.
And then you could see the sting coming but only at the last minute and then it was full on again until the end and then you could see the sting coming but only literally at the last minute. Wham.
Thank you, this movie. This one was a delight. A real, mmm, yeah. A real Peter-Tingle. Next time I decide to get prescription sunglasses, it ain’t happening unless it’s in a Tony Stark style frame 🙂
